TSM Heating

This week, we’re thrilled to shine the spotlight on one of our valued new team members at TSM – Siân! She recently joined the team as Finance Manager, and we had the pleasure of sitting down with her to see how she’s settling into her role at TSM, as well as what she enjoys doing in her spare time.

How long have you been with TSM, and how are you getting on?

“I officially joined TSM in June, but my journey with Sam and Tom started long before that as their accountant. When they asked me to come on board, I knew it would be a great chance to see things from the other side, and I’ve not regretted the move for a second. I’m now seeing the numbers from the inside out, and it’s been eye-opening in the best way.

What does a typical day in your job role look like?

“Lots of number crunching, processing, planning, analysing, forecasting, and (of course) chasing up invoices. If you think I’m talking about you, you’re probably right! While most people would run a mile, I genuinely thrive on the rhythm of numbers; it’s my kind of puzzle.”

What would you say is the most enjoyable part of your job?

“Hands down, it’s the people. There’s never a dull moment with this team; the energy here keeps everything fresh and fun.”

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

“Hopefully leading the finance team at an expanded TSM. This company is going places, and I’d love to be part of the journey and contribute to its success.”

If you had to give one piece of advice to someone new joining the company, what would it be?

“No one person can know everything, so speak up, ask questions, and lean on your team. You’re surrounded by people who want to see you succeed, so don’t be shy; we’ve got your back.”

If you could instantly acquire one skill, what would it be and why?

“A photographic memory, no contest. My current memory is more goldfish than genius, so being able to recall everything with crystal clarity would be a total game-changer… Sorry, what was the question again?”

What passions or activities do you pursue in your free time?

“As a mum of two lively daughters, my downtime is anything but quiet. I’m usually dashing between clubs or catching up with fellow mums over a well-earned drink while the kids burn off some energy. It’s chaotic, but I wouldn’t trade it for the world.”

If you could watch one film again for the first time, what would it be and why?

“The Beach. The book was fantastic, and the film captured the darker edges of human nature perfectly. Visually stunning, emotionally tense, and paired with a banging soundtrack, I’d love to relive those wow moments all over again…especially when paradise goes “south.”

Are there any bucket list goals you’re planning to tick off in the near future?

“Absolutely – seeing the world is top of my list. I travelled a bit before becoming a parent, and now that my girls are older and easier to travel with, the world feels much more accessible again. There are so many places calling my name!”

If you could have dinner with any famous person, past or present, who would it be and why?

“Kris Kristofferson. I was lucky enough to see him live before he passed, and his storytelling was nothing short of magical. He’s lived a thousand lives, and I’d love to hear every wild, hilarious, and heartfelt tale over dinner. Plus, my husband would finally realise that he was more than just Wesley Snipes’ mate in the Blade films!”
